The
interlocking bricks are essentially LEGO style building bricks that used as
replacement for conventional brick and mortar. These types of bricks are used
in the Interlocking Building System to replace the conventional column and beam
that being using Load Bearing Wall System.
These
interlocking bricks are made by interlocking machine and each of them is laid
on top of each other without need of the mortar between the bricks due to the
dry stack of the bricks. The interlocking brick is made of local soil and as
little as 5% cement, cure over a period of seven to fourteen days.
Building
with the interlocking bricks is easy and simple where unskilled labour can be
used in the construction. By using the bricks, the cost of the construction can
be lowered due to the cheap unskilled labour used and reduction of steel worker
and carpenter in the construction. The period of the construction may be also
be reduced due to needless of conventional beams and column for the structure.
As for the finishing part, labours do no need plastering job and the painting
job.
The
versatility of these interlocking bricks are high and widely used in most of
the part in the house. All window, door, slab and even roofing system can be
used with interlocking bricks instead of conventional bricks.
The
Interlocking Building System is a high quality and approved by Malaysia CIDB
(Construction Industry Development Board) and SIRIM as it complies with
reduction of the unskilled worker, less wastage, less volume of building
materials, increased environmental and construction site cleanliness and better
quality control.
